across the United States, 1968-1978


Represented in permanent collections including:

The National Museum for Women in the Arts and The Westinghouse Collection

Lectured and demonstrated the batik process in museums and universities including American University, Yale University, the Masur Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution.

Founded and directed The Fine Arts Connection, a nonprofit agency which introduced artists to collectors and institutions.

Curated and installed numerous major exhibitions in museums, government buildings and private collections.

Co-authored chapter "Grants and Finance" in The Business of Art, edited by Lee Kaplan. Book funded by The National Endowment for the Arts and published by Prentice-Hall 

Juried art exhibitions including acting as the sole juror in the Masur Museum of Art's 19th Annual Four-State Art Competition in Monroe, Louisiana.


Smithsonian Institution (concurrently) 1987-1995

Directed the Studio Arts Department of The Associates (formerly the Resident Associate Program) for 8 years after teaching visual arts in the department for four years.

Elected director of the Smithsonian Institution's Women's Council, Active member of the Latino Working Committee. Routinely organized large lectures with well known guest speakers such as artist Jacob Lawrence

Coordinated panels and programs for specific ideas and problems, such as "Bit by Bit: Infringement on the Arts" which dealt with copyright infringement issues

Was awarded grants, including the Smithson Grant, to fund the Discover Graphics Program of which she was director.

Received two awards from the Resident Associate Program for outstanding work

Received the Creative Programing Award from the National University Continuing Education Association for the 9 day computer graphics seminar and conference "Infinite Illusions: The World of Electronically Created Imagery."

Guest speakers included film-maker George Coates, architects Louise Sabol from Skidmore, Owings and Merril and Eric Kuhne from Eric Kuhn, NY, and computer graphic artist, Ohio State University, Charles Csuri.

Mentoring for young artists 1995-Present; and

Facilitating a Women's Issues Project -Women's Informational Needs (WIN), 2002-2003.
